Taking a closer look at the share of sectors in Europe, you will see that agricultural co-operative societies constitute 37%, while the individual membership involved in the financial sector, including co-operative banking and credit unions make up 32%.

Out of the 5 million employees of the European co-operative movement, 60% work in the service sector and 20% in agriculture.
