7th UN International Day of Cooperatives, 7 July 2001
"The Cooperative Advantage in the Third Millennium"

This year´s United Nations´ International Day of Cooperatives will be celebrated under the theme of The Cooperative Advantage in the Third Millennium". It focuses on the fact that the Cooperative Values and Principle under which cooperative operate constitute a real advantage in this ever increasing globalzing world.

A press pack prepared by the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA), will include messages from the ICA, and other COPAC members. It iwll also include information on the new .coop top-level domain name. The pack is intended for use by cooperatives, governments and others in the celebration of the UN International Day of Cooperatives as well as ICA´s own International Co-operative Day.
